Dr. Mohamed Ramadan

Dr. Ramadan joined Ibrachy & Dermarkar in 2013 as Partner after 7 years of vast experience at several leading international and local law firms in the United States, the United Kingdom and Egypt. Dr. Ramadan is a former Senior Associate at DLA Piper Cairo Office and a former Attorney at Bryan Cave LLP London and Washington D.C. offices. Dr. Ramadan worked for the United States. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. in 2008 and a former Associate with I&D in 2006. His corporate experience includes; general corporate and commercial, labor and employment, contracts and dispute resolution. Dr. Ramadan has led the team that advised Pfizer on the acquisition of its Nutrition Business by Nestle in 2012. Dr. Ramadan is heavily involved in high level employment matters such as; transfer of employees, reviewing internal policies, and employment contracts. Dr. Ramadan focuses on construction related matters and disputes. He has worked on a number of M&A projects in relation to pharmaceutical industries, tourism, visa processing, Textiles, and oil&gas Dr. Ramadan offered high level advisory opinions in high and complex adversarial proceedings in respect to the steel industry and drafted commercial agreements for major and multinational clients such as Pfizer Egypt SAE, Suez Steel Company, Amer Group Holding, Boeing, Mitsubishi Motors Company, Saudi Egyptian Company for Touristic Development, Arafa Holding, Cargill and Egyptian Resorts Company.



o Dr. Ramadan obtained his LLB from the Faculty of Law, Cairo University in 2003 (Top student) summa cum laude, and an LLM in Private and Public Law from the Faculty of Law o Cairo University in 2005 (top student) and LLM in Corporate and International Business Law

o George Washington University Law School and SJD PHD in law 2009.

His thesis is titled United States Bilateral Free Trade Agreements: Consistencies or Conflicts with norms in the Middle East. It was published with Kluwer Law International in 2010. Dr. Ramadan is also an Assistant Professor of Public International Law at Cairo University School of Law and an Adjunct Professor of International Law at American University in Cairo. Dr. Ramadan taught law before at Maastricht University School of Law and University of Holy Spirit in Lebanon. Dr. Ramadan is a member of the New York Bar State since 2008 and a member of the Egyptian Bar of Association since 2003. Dr. Ramadan published books and articles in the United States, Canada, Europe and Egypt.
